KIRA GURNÉE…..bio

         Kira has had a love of performing since the age of two when she first set foot onstage dressed as one of Colonel Sanders “chickens.” Improvising when her feathered tail fell off in the middle of the act, she toddled up to the edge of the stage and showed it to the audience before continuing amid the laughter and applause.

         Since then, Kira has had the opportunity to take her talents to the airwaves as a Radio DJ, a Newscaster and a News Director. She has reported from the Superbowl and was even named Tampa Bay’s Dream News Anchor.   The honor didn’t go unnoticed, as Kira was often asked to host various live events and concerts.   She also hosted several weekly interview programs in addition to her “News and Comments” position.

         While in Florida, Kira was asked to model in a celebrity fashion show, which sparked an interest in the field. Since then she has done photo shoots in the Caribbean and many other locations as a commercial print model and lifestyle model. Some of her favorite jobs modeling have been as a Precision Rider and model for Kawasaki, Yamaha and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

         The growing film business in South Florida also revived her lifelong interest in acting, and a visit to Los Angeles convinced Kira to make the move cross country. As an Actress, she has had the opportunity to work on a variety of wonderful projects.   Among her favorite experiences, were working with Dennis Franz on NYPD Blue, portraying First Lady Helen Taft in the Japanese/American movie “Takamine”, and being part of the movie, “See Arnold Run”, based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s road to the Governor’s office.

         Years of experience behind the microphone have led to an illustrious Voiceover Acting career as well. Kira has done national TV and Radio commercials, TV Show Announcing, Animation, narration for Films, Documentaries, Corporate Videos, Award shows, and artist bios for the Grammy’s Pacific Northwest Awards. She has her own studio and frequently works directly with clients for small projects.

         All of Kira’s previous hosting experience has resulted in numerous opportunities in that field as well. With a wide variety of interests and knowledge, she has hosted TV shows, Variety Shows, Comedy Shows, many Videos, and Corporate Events. She was especially thrilled to be named as the host and MC for SONY’s Global Marketing Partners Conference in Kyoto, where she was able to truly put her Japanese language skills to the test. Producers and clients know that with Kira’s natural delivery, teleprompter skills, gift for improvisation and friendly approachable persona, they can expect a quick and easy day!

         Kira is an experienced Scuba Diver, Sport Bike Motorcyclist, Snowboarder, Sports Car Driver, Bungy Jumper, World Traveler, Dancer, Singer, and Comedienne.   She’s also a certified wine expert through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and a Nutritional Supplement expert through the American Nutraceutical Association.

         Travel is often part of the job and something Kira always welcomes. She speaks enough French, Japanese and German to get along in those countries and is a quick study of other languages as needed. To her, life is meant to be experienced to the fullest and shared with all who are interested….in person, on stage, on camera or on mic!
